The Harvey Beautification and Community Empowerment Program 

The Harvey Beautification and Community Empowerment Program will launch on March 7, 2026, and run for 30 weeks through September 12, 2026. Program activities will take place every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This initiative is designed to enhance Harvey’s visual appeal, strengthen community pride, and empower residents through hands‑on engagement. Each week, residents will participate in coordinated ward‑by‑ward cleanup efforts, ensuring that all areas of the city benefit from consistent beautification and maintenance activities.

In addition to cleanup projects, the program will feature a series of DIY improvement activities, skill‑building workshops, and youth empowerment sessions focused on leadership, environmental stewardship, and community service. These components are designed to equip residents of all ages with practical tools, creative approaches, and meaningful opportunities to contribute to Harvey’s long‑term vitality. The Ready 2 Work; Harvey Career Launch Program  
 
The Harvey Neighborhood Network is partnering with South Suburban College and Ascending Knowledge to offer Ready 2 Work, a community-centered career readiness program designed to support local residents on their path to employment. The Harvey Career Launch Program begins on March 23, 2026. It runs for six weeks Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This program focuses on strengthening job-seeking skills, building confidence and professionalism, addressing employment barriers within our community, and connecting participants with local employers and job opportunities.
